Why wouldn’t I just hire a new full-time employee, wouldn’t it be cheaper?

It could be cheaper to hire a new employee for your organization, but that isn’t usually the reason that companies seek out staff augmentation services. Some of the reasons an organization might prefer a staff augmentation contract employee over an FTE hire include:

• Timing; they need qualifies boots on the ground ASAP. The hiring process with many organizations is often lengthy

At Caliber, our “Subject Matter Experts” (SME’s) and staff augmentation service staff are available to provide short to long-term staffing to strengthen your team with information security expertise and specific, targeted skills.  We are able to support your IT security staffing needs if you don’t have the experience on your team to complete a deliverable, lack capacity with your current staff to take on new projects, or budget for a full-time employee.  We have extremely experienced people, with very deep knowledge in a variety of information security areas.

All engineers are available to assist with day-to-day operational tasks to implement your information security program, while our more senior staff provide leadership in the strategy, operations, and roadmaps for your information security needs.

When assigning a dedicated IT security resource to your project, we cannot guarantee we will assign a resource within 24 hours from the initial request. The timeline varies based on the nature of the role that is being requested, the location of the engagement (if working onsite), the set budget for the role, and specific requirements with skills and experience.

Our network of information security connections and long-term relationships helps to speed up the interview process. We handle the initial interviews for roles that we need to hire for, or carefully select candidates that are already part of our team that best fit the needs of the client. Many IT security staff augmentation providers are too broad and general and do not dedicate the time to develop long-term relationships with their staff.
